Simply put, Louisiana is the Inshore Fishing Capital of the World.
If you really want to put the smack down on some speckled trout and redfish, Louisiana is the place to go.
Nowhere else can you find such endless water, generous creel limits and non-stop, drag-peeling action. There is an overflowing abundance of angling freedom in Louisiana that is just not found elsewhere.
Let me give you an idea as to how vast our wetlands are:
The Florida Everglades are 743 square miles.
Louisiana's wetlands are well over 19,000 square miles and constitute 43% of the nation's wetlands.
But, rather than brag, I would much rather explain why Louisiana is a place you want to fish.
